3 HOUR ONE-TO-ONE PHOTOGRAPHY TUITION (Dates by arrangement)

I am delighted to offer half day (3 hour)  1-2-1 practical landscape photography tuition for photographers who may be starting out in their learning or those who may be looking for a more focused learning experience to help them build on their existing skills.

Although I offer various workshops for groups throughout the year you may decide, for whatever reason, that a 1-2-1 course is what you are looking for.

The date and location will be by negotiation with the client and will look to cater for the photography needs and tastes of the tutee. All client will have an initial discussion (phone or Zoom) in which the learning needs will be identified and a training event will be produced which will seek to address these on the workshop.  This could be to improve composition, moving out of auto camera settings, tripod skills and even more advanced camera techniques such as bracketing and panorama shooting.

LOCATION

Based near Ilkley gives ready access to a huge range of photography locations on the doorstep and with the Yorkshire Dales just a short drive away we won’t be short of inspiration.  All locations will be discussed and agreed in advance.  I am also happy to collect any client from the Ilkley area and to offer transportation throughout the day subject to approval. I am insured for this purpose.

WHAT TYPE OF CAMERA DO I NEED ?

A camera with the ability to set the various Aperture , ISO and Shutter Speed settings. Typically a Digital SLR or Mirrorless camera.

IS THERE ANY COURSE MATERIAL / LITERATURE ?

Yes, you will be supplied with PDF downloadable course notes designed to reinforce your learning from your workshop and act as a reference guide.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING ?

• Suitable clothing to the conditions and waterproofs if rain is forecast.
• An umbrella, dependent upon weather forecast.
• Walking boots / shoes.
• Camera / camera phone.
• Tripod if you have one.
• Manual for camera or have access to it.
• Filters if you use them, but not essential.
• Water bottle.

WEATHER ISSUES

I will look to shoot in all conditions, but these are are obviously not know at the time of booking. Weather can be unpredictable and I will ensure the route takes this into consideration. IF the weather conditions dictate that photography is not possible, or the conditions are dangerous, then I will have the final decision on the running of the workshop. This will be communicated as far in advance as possible and alternatives dates will be arranged.
